Location Management in TWINALIZE

Before managing your IT assets in TWINALIZE, it's essential to first create the locations where your assets will be anchored. These locations can represent buildings, zones, rooms, or even entire cities or regions.

In this guide, we'll walk you through the process of creating and managing a location, providing the foundational step for effective IT management.

1. Add a new location:

Start by navigating to the "Assets" section from your dashboard. On a desktop, you'll find "Assets" in the sidebar, and on mobile devices, it’s located in the bottom menu bar.

Click "Create New Asset", or alternatively, click the "+" icon in the top-right corner and select "Create New Location."

2. Enter the required data:

First, provide a Location Name. Make sure the name is clear and logical, as it will serve as the identifier for your location and appear in location overviews.

Next, select the appropriate Function for your location (e.g., building, room, zone, etc.) from the dropdown list.

If necessary, you can also include optional data and attachments, such as floor plans or other relevant documents.

3. Edit and options:

Once you've created your new location, you can revisit it to make updates or add tags and attachments. Simply click the edit icon to modify your location details.

Additionally, you can mark certain locations as Favorites. This feature allows you to quickly access these locations from your dashboard, and they will also appear in the "Favorites" section of the menu for easier management.

4. Add an asset to a location:

Once your locations are set up, you can start assigning assets to their respective locations. To do this, open a location and click "Create New Asset", or click the "+" icon in the top-right corner.
